  • To operate in a fair, legal and ethical manner
  • To provide a straightforward process for land development

Planning Division
The Planning Division performs a variety of services. The Division is responsible for the implementation of the County Development Regulations which include site specific land use approvals, subdivisions and zoning. The Division is also responsible for the development and regulatory updates to the County Comprehensive Plan, Development Regulations, Shoreline Master Program, Critical Areas Regulations and Watershed Plans.

Building Division
The Building Division of the Land Services Department is primarily responsible for conducting building construction plan review, issuing building permits and performing construction inspections associated with active building permits.
